Just thought I’d introduce myself. Senior Coordinator Digital Learning Design, commuter cyclist, surfer, climber and crazy cat lady in training, at your service.
I am the newest member of the DSC Digital Learning team, and this is my very first blog post for RMIT! I have come, most recently, from La Trobe University where I managed the Educational design and support team and service for the College of Science, Health and Engineering. Prior to moving south of the border,I could be found at UNSW and at Sydney University. I’ve worked with a wide variety of applications spanning a multitude of disciplines from Economics to Engineering, Statistics to Psychology, Organisational Relations to Orthoptics, and everything in between.
I have an abiding interest in the design process and how technology can be integrated to enhance and transform the educational experience. I’m looking forward to getting to grips with all the exciting things people are doing with Google, 3d virtual reality devices and mobile apps, and working out how it can all be applied to bring learning into life and life into learning.
When I’m not sitting here writing blog posts, I can be tempted by a decent coffee (suggestions invited!). Otherwise I may be found treading the pedals around town, climbing walls (mostly with ropes, sometimes without), or cursing Friday’s cryptic crossword setter.
Looking forward to meeting you all shortly!
